Habits
Most of us have at least one bad habit we would like to change and this can take lots of different forms. Biting your nails and stopping smoking are two common examples that are successfully treated through hypnotherapy but any bad habit can potentially be overcome.
Bad habits such as nail biting and teeth grinding are instinctive behaviours that often develop as a way of coping with anxiety, stress, fatigue and boredom.
These are subconscious reactions in that your brain does not actually send a message to perform the habit, yet it happens anyway.
During Hypnotherapy the therapist will guide you into a relaxed state, allowing direct access to your subconscious mind. This is where instinctive behaviours such as bad habits are formed.
Using Solution Focused Hypnotherapy you will be given tools to break bad habits and find healthier and more positive ways to deal with stress, anxiety and other underlying emotional triggers. This enables the therapist to focus on the habit you want to break to give you much more control over it. The process can also reduce stress and anxiety to help you to feel calmer and more relaxed in general.
